Speech # 4: Persuade Us! Some speeches seek not just to inform the audience, they seek to persuade them as well. You will prepare an informative speech on a topic of your own choosing. You can choose to use visual aids or not as appropriate to your topic. You should first create an opinion poll for the class (informal grade) to determine their attitude about the topic before you speak. Second, given the attitudes you are addressing, prepare and deliver a 4-6 minute speech (formal grade). After your speech, you will re-poll to see if you have changed any opinions on the topic and do a post speech analysis of your efforts given your results (informal grade).
